Hey, how's it going. Thinking about putting a clown in my nano. I kind of feel bad having one in such a small area. I have an anemone in there with a few other corals. Any advice?

Most recommend a 30g tank for a clown or a pair of clowns. 6g seems really small to me. I wouldn't do it. I would go with a clown goby, court jester goby, or one of the smaller more docile members of the goby family. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah,I have a couple crabs and lots of snails. Crazy how clean they keep that thing.

Not all inverts only consume waste. Maybe try a small firefish or goby to start, one should be plenty. Nano tanks can be tricky, watch your parameters.

I honestly think it needs a protein skimmer. Ive been noticing an oily film on the water at the back of the tank.

Water changes should be just fine for a nano, no need for a skimmer on a 6g.

water changes and a flat paper towel placed on the top of the water, to absorb and remove, should clean that skimmate off, most 20G or below dont need a skimmer because that is more than enough

I had a Marineland 6 Gallon Eclipse and had a pair of Clown's in there and they were so happy. They laid eggs about every 3 weeks. I didn't do nothing special with the eggs becausee I didnt have the correct equipment to raise lil clowns. They doubled in size in about two months
