It's like National Geographic right in Washington DC's National Zoo....a baby deer wandered into the lion's den and got attacked. There are videos in that article. Of all the places to wander into! He couldn't wander into the Flamingo pen or something. Hehehe. Poor guy

Poor little thing made it alive through the entire ordeal, but then had to be put down.

They had their chance, but it looked like they just didn't know what to do with it.

Kinda like ferrets -- the kind people have as pets are no longer found in the wild...yet, they still have natural instincts of the wild, like stealing socks (cuz they look like food??) and hiding them under the hardest-too-reach part of the couch....and going limp if picked up by the scruff and pretends to be dead so a predator won't eat it. Hehehe.

That's ok...my cat who passed away a couple of years ago wouldn't chase a mouse that was creeping around our house. I think he more or less wanted to play with it.

My cats just stare at their "natural prey" with a very puzzled look.

"I think it may be food. There's a feeling inside of me telling me that it's food. But it didn't come from a can or a crinkly bag! It can't be food. There's no way it could be food."

The last cat we had here, left something dead on the porch EVERY night. That wasnt so bad, until she started attacking whoever tryed to remove the dead critter.Sadly, that cat passed away from a lead over-dose after it attacked the wife.
