coraline algae question

while i was staring at my tank i noticed that Coraline algae is starting to grow on my live rocks. i know its good but my questions are: what does it do? and does it mean i have a healthy tank? thanks

it helps to inhibit bad alage from growing on the rocks (but not always)

It is a sign of a healthy tank, as far as I know, and +1 daugherty. It will deplete the system of calcium, however, and if you have corals you may want to look into supplementation.

coarline is a good sign. sometime it can even become a nuisance

Coralline can become APITA.But its actually a good sign that your tank is doing what it should.

It gives the live rock color.Coralline and corals share some of the same needs so it's growth is always a good sign mostly.
