what do you think of uv sterilizers

i was thinking about getting a uv sterilizer does anyone use one noticeable difference in water quality advice on different models for a 125 gallon.

I think they are awesome, keeps ich away and help control algea. You can run one 24/7 or only when you are adding new fish or having algea problems. Thats my .02$
