SCIENTIFIC NAME - Chaetodontoplus Melanosoma COMMON NAME - Black Velvet Angelfish (Gray Poma) SIZE - 6.7" (17 cm ) RANGE - Eastern Indian Ocean and Western Pacific MIN. AQUARIUM SIZE - 55 US Gal (208 L) FOODS AND FEEDING - Varied diet, spirulina, marine algae, mysid shrimp, variuos high quality marine meaty food. AQUARIUM SUITABILITY - 8 REEF COMPATIBILITY - May eat soft corals and nip at large polyped stony corals, zoanthids, and clam mantles. CAPTIVE CARE - Keep with nonaggressive tankmates and plenty of hiding places. Will browse on filamentous algae and diatoms growing on hard surfaces.
