Looking for a 175w bulb...
Hey CR,
Anyone in the area have a used 175w bulb they'd sell for a decent price? If so get at me. Thanks, Alex Current Aquarium(s) Description: None at the moment... Experience in Saltwater & Reef Aquarium Hobby: 4 Years |

Re: Looking for a 175w bulb...
Dont think anyone in the club uses 175 screw in bulbs.
175 Watt - MH Lamps they appear to start around 59$ which isn't a bad price at all. Used bulbs are going to be off spectrum and the PAR ratings will decreased. A new bulb is probably best. I've got a couple actually. They have about 5 months use on them. I changed from 10K to 14K recently.

Mine appear to be fine. It is a Ushio 10K used about 5 months. I live in Clevegas though. I don't know if I could meet you before you go to work.

Re: Looking for a 175w bulb...
Be careful about using a cracked bulb. They can crack and work, but the actual glass provides a layer that keeps harmful UV rays from hurting your stock. A guy in ATL lost tons of coral on one side of his tank due to a cracked bulb.
