birds nest

I bought a small birds nest a few days ago,and I am paranoid that I am going to bleach the cool blue color. I have 6 t 5's in a 55 g. and I put it at the top. Is this too much??

Re: birds nest

Start it at the bottom. Depending on what kind of lighting the tank it came from had, it will probably need to be acclimated to your lights. You can either start it at the bottom of your tank and slowly move it to the top over the course of a few weeks, or you can go to a hardware store and get light diffusing panels and layer them above it and remove the panels one by one so that it slowly gets more light until all the panels are gone.

How about a pic??

Re: birds nest

Thanks, I usually do that, but I knew it needed a ton of light. I think I will drop it down a bit. My mind gets the best of me. I will work on the pics lol. I have been a lazy bum lately with the nice weather.
