clown with ick
I have a 55g tank with a couple of feather dusters, 2 peppermint shrimp, a few snails and a pink tipped annenome. i have hat a percula clown for under a week, and he is already showing signs of ick. the tips of his fins are rotting it seems and he has three or four white spots. i have a tank that i can use for QT but he is the only fish i have. any suggestions on treatments?

use the quarintine. ick medications have copper in them. doseing copper in you're main tank will ruin the chances of keeping corals and other inverts. even snails.

you should also raise the temp 80degrees farenhieght and drop the salintity to 1.020

Don't treat the clown in the main tank. If you do, you will not be able to ever keep any inverts in that tank, as the copper soaks in to the substrate and rocks, and some say even the silicone seals. Quarantine him and copper that baby up!
