general question about starting over again
If you have had several dead fish are there any steps that should be taken to renew the tank before adding new specimens- assuming good live rock, water parameters in line- ? large water change? and how long should I wait before adding new fish?

Re: general question about starting over again
What are your perameters? It could be that the fish died because the tank cycled when you added them. How long has the tank been up?

Re: general question about starting over again
Once you experiance losses and do not know if you have resolved the problem, IMO you should wait at least 3 months with no losses of any kind before adding any new animals and then very slowly while maintaining excellent water quality.
