Re: Ich on my Flame
Good luck. Against my better judgement, I left my flame in the tank and it died Christmas morning. It was eating everyday. I normally only feed once a day, but I was feeding twice a day while this fish had ich. It slowly got completely covered in ich. But I took the advice from more experienced people here. Left it in the tank. And it died after about a week of severe suffering.
I wish I'd done what my gut told me to do. I wish I had put it into a QT tank and tried to cure it. Now my little clown has ich too.

Re: Ich on my Flame
It appears the Flame is getting better, however, during feeding today my Royal Gramma and one of my clowns did not eat. The clowns show no sign whatsoever of white spots. Could the garlic just not appeal to them?
BTW, I did buy Seachem's garlic guard and have been soaking the food in it. The Flame loves it, as does my damsel and one of my clowns. Re: Ich on my Flame
garlic guard is good stuff. I use it from time to time. I would not worry about 1 day being missed of eating. More than that might spell trouble. You can add a cap-full to the water just prior to feeding as well to get them thinking about food. Entice is another product that can stimulate feeding if you are having trouble, it is basically banana extract I believe

Re: Ich on my Flame
So everything ate today. The basslet ate half a pellet again. I keep feeding the pellets because they contain garlic and all the fish seem to like it.
Basslet has some lifted scales now it seems. Maybe from rubbing too much on the rocks? Or is someone picking on him? He looks roughed up and stays in hiding a lot more than usual now...
