Fish Treatment

I guess I have never thought about what I would do if one of my fishes become ill. Well since my chromis isn't doing well, this "nightmare" has come across my mind. This is a real broad question and I know there are MANY different diseases, but what are the "appropriate" steps that should be taken when a fish appears to have a disease.

Thanks

Re: Fish Treatment

Protect the healthy. specifically veiw the affliction, note the fishes actions, swimming and respiration, any scratching, yawning, spots and what do they look like etc. describe anything that is not normal looking. post we try to help. if you do not want to dose the main tank it is a mute point, get the sick fish out.

Re: Fish Treatment

as jonh said...extreme precautions..if your gonna medicate the fish..ill recomend a quarantine tank...cause inverts are very sensitive to some meds..try to identify the disease first....but if is neccesary..remove the fish..
