sand for the tank?
i have been reading alot over the past few days about sand for the tank and i have heard that there is a brand that is called southdown play sand that is useable for salt systems any one ever used it?

Some have used it and say it is ok. I do not avocate it as it is just what it says play sand for use by people. silicates may be a problem as well as others. anyways I recommend a substrait made for the marine hobbie. cost is a bit more, but, results are predictable long term.

crushed coral
crushed coral is good for one thing my 125 gallon cichlid tank got enough in there to keep ph level up for africans. Don't need to add buffers crushed coral works well with keeping ph up
