ph
hey guys.. I just got home from work for 2 weeks and my ph is running high its at 8.6 give or take. I am not sure what the best way is to bring it back down I am making some water for a change in the am as I usually do when I get home. But not really sure if this will help much. I am planning on a 10% change. Other params are ammonia 0,alk is a little high 2.9 or so,Nitrates are 0 ant nitrites are .05. I have not added anything to the tank in months I did just reaquascape last night. SG is 1.04 water temp is 79.I always try to stay away from any buffers but would it help? Its seachem powder.

Re: ph
Water changes will be the best way to bring that down. It's high, but not dangerously high. You can safely do 10% every day or every other day to gradually get it back on track (drastic changes are more harmful than gradually raising or lowering it).
