New, need some help!

Hey,
I have been a saltwater hobbyist for 3 years. I have manily corals but a few fish in my tanks. I have a purple moon brain that seems to be infested with worms. I don't kniw what kind they are, I have never seen them before. They seem to be killing the coral very slowly. Can anybody help me? I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
cepope36

Welcome to the reef, Im not experienced enough to give you a suggestion, it sounds like flatworms but Im not sure the procedures on freshwater or iodine dips to remedy them. Someone will help you out soon though.

Here check out this thread it might have some useful info.

If it looks like it's infested with some sort of parasite, doing an iodine dip will be your best bet. Go to your fish store and either get a bottle of Lugol's Solution or a dip specially made for corals and follow the directions on the bottle.

First off,welcome to the reef.
Try getting your tap water close to your tank temp. The hold the coral ubder the tap to rinse the worms off.Follow that with a iodine dip. Then quarantine.
I'd repeat every other day untill you see no more parasites.
