Powerheads aren't that expensive if you have to buy your own. You can find good ones for under $20.

Check out your local craigslist site.. there are usually good deals on there!!

craigslist is where I found the tank/stand. Not too much in the way of supplies, however. I've looked at some power heads, but will wait until I evaluate everything I need.

A friend turned me onto the site. I go every day to check it out and see what's new. So after all is said and done and I've spent a million dollars on my new hobby, I can really blame her!!! LOL
