Hello livingreef members, new member

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello All,

Getting ready to take the DIVE into Reef Aquariums.

Had 5 freshwater aquariums in New Orleans, until Katrina hit and wiped me out. 6 feet of water in my neighborhood.

Moved to Memphis, and have been here 20 months. Finally, got over the lost, and have decided to try my hand at saltwater.

O.k.

Here is where I am so far. All ordered, nothing set up

--Tank: AquaPod 24 gallon, --showed up with broken aquarium, waiting on replacement
Has 290 gph pump, dual-stage mech/biolog filtration, surface skimming overflow intake, adjustable weir,
--Lighting 150 watt HQI 24-hour lighting with 14,000 HQI metal halide lamp
--Pure-Flo II RO Units 50 gpd 4-stage
--ETH In-Line Heater 200 watt, 1/2
--UV Sterilizers 9W Turbo-Twist UV
--AquaClear Powerhead Model 30

Will be adding 20 lbs live rock and will use live sand

Any other suggestions are appreciated.

Current Aquarium(s) Description: Aquapod 24g
Experience in Saltwater & Reef Aquarium Hobby: 1 month

Welcome to the group! Sounds like you've got a good start - eventually.. you will want much more live rock than that.
