Light for my 55g

Hi I am interested in getting a new light for my 55g. It is 48" long. I was hoping that you all could help me pick one out that will be worth the $. I am wanting to add a clam and some aneome to me tank in the future. Thanks in advance.

Re: Light for my 55g

If you like to keep SPS,clams and anemones the best thing for a 55 gallon would be a good T5-HO fixture that has individual reflectors(I'm doing it again).

This would be my first choice. Its an excellent quality fixture but its not cheap.

You can either go with T5s or metal halides. T5s are cheaper, use less energy and don't put off as much heat. I would go with them for your tank.

Re: Light for my 55g

If you would have posted this about 3 days ago I could have sold you a 6 bulb 48" t-5 light for 100.00, but its gone now.
Anyway I also pick t-5.
