wavemaker
has anyone ever tried these little switching wavemakers? Switching Current Water Director (SCWD)
how well do they work? are they bad to stick or clog? are they a gimmick? i'm thinking about putting one on my sump return.

Re: wavemaker
I have never used one: I recall reading somewhere that they work, but the cost of no external controlling mechanism is an overall loss of flow - not sure how much or if this would be an issue for you.

Re: wavemaker
I used one. They cut down on the flow obviously, but work well. I use a seio controller and hydors now. I'd consider the polario that's coming out if I was going to do it now.

Re: wavemaker
how bad do they cut it down? I was wondering because my pump is more than I need anyway. I could just crank it up a little more if it would help.
what's the polario? is it the wavemaker for the korilia's?
