I can't pick one. I have read and read and read and it seems that MH is the best light you can get, but t-5 can come close and do not make as much heat as MH. It all depends on personal preference. The T-5s I had I liked but MH has that shimmer to it.

Given what I've just seen of T5 lights, I'd go for the first one in your list. Just got my new T5 Solar unit.

I couldn't handle the heat from MH. My tank was already borderline on the temp. Those big 150w MH are going to crank out some serious heat. I'd be real concerned about that. If you spend $1000 on a light with MH and your tank gets too hot--you'll be buying a chiller next week.

Do they make a smaller unit Freak? like a 8-10 bulb?

They have a 48'' fixture that has 7 bulbs but no fixture with 8 bulbs on the 72'' long one.

Why you ask?
Is the fixture too wide for what you are looking for.
