i have the best light out there

a 13w eclipse light. yeah be jealous.

lol, i need a new light that is not expensive and that will fit on a tank that is about 22 inches long.

T-5 Aquarium Lighting: Nova Extreme T-5 Fixtures w/Lunar Lights

The 24'' version of course.
Heat is always an issue with that size tank so those T5 should be your best bet.That fixture should allow you to be unlimited.

I have a 175 MH on my 20gal.

No not really.
They do have a 48w 2 bulb fixture.You can still keep many corals with that but not all.

wow thats crazy how much light coral needs.

if i were to get a 40w what kind of coral could i have with that?

With 40 watts,maybe soft corals only.
With that 48w T5 fixture then soft corals and LPS corals.

Not when you consider that theese coral are coming from crystal clear water near the equator and the sun puts out way more light than any light that you could buy.

Lighting is one of those things that as long as you can fit it over your tank and dont boil the water, you put as much as you can on it.
