Metal halides

I have a 90 gallon mostly sps now. I have an ice cap 660 and 4 65 watt ps lights. One of my local reefers will sell me 2 175 watt retros to replace the pc. It would only be 135 bucks. I want 2 250 watt halides but I really think the 175s will be enough. I guess I am just lookin for some imput.

Current Aquarium(s) Description: 120gallon mostly sps 2 250 watt halide and 220 watts of vho actinics. 30 gallon sump/fuge with mrc-1

Re: Metal halides

the 175's would definitly be better than the pc's. and that is a good deal on them too, if they include the balast.but course, the 250's would be much better. are the pc's a retro? maybe you could put all actinics in them and use them to supplement the halides.

Re: Metal halides

I plan on using the vho for actnic with the halides 10000k. That is way more watts.
