So just to let you know, i did go with 2-175W XM 20,000K bulbs and 2 reef creations ballasts. Here's the pics

Hey Blue what did you do with old setup? Might know a guy that would be interested in it if you still have it.

I actually just sold it tonight, it was only a 250W MH with a DIY Canopy & Ballast

Crap Metal Halides work great in grow rooms too.

Yes, it was a temporary solution but now i kinda like it, it's cool waking up in the morning with the fish tank right next to you.

So i finally found a way to install the lights that doesn't involve having to attach them to the ceiling. It's got enough clearance where i can put any rock in and out, pull any kind of equipment without having to remove the lights, and reach the bottom of the tank without a problem. We'll see how the corals do.
