XM 150W 15K DE Metal Halide

Hi All,

Can I use a XM 150W 15K DE Metal Halide as a replacement metal halide on my Current SunPod?

I just want to be sure before I ordered one!

Thanks,
Reefy

Re: XM 150W 15K DE Metal Halide

I am not sure what Ballast the Sunpod uses, but Metal Halide ballast only need to line up the base (i.e. Mogul, Medium or HQI) and the wattage. What is the ballast rated for? Is it rated for 150 Watts?

Re: XM 150W 15K DE Metal Halide

The sunpod models 1060 - 1066 are rated at 150 watts. and 1160 - 1164 at 250 watts. If you have one of the 1060 series hoods you can use the 150 watt bulbs. You cannont put a 150 watt bulb on a 250 watt ballast so if your light hood model is an 1160 series you will need to use the 250watt bulbs. For double ended bulbs the manufacturer is mute as all will fit. so make sure you select the right wattage, and have fun. hope this answers your question.
