Odyssea Metal Halide Lights

I am still looking into a metal halide lighting system and was wondering if any one is using these and what they think of them, they seem to be to good of a deal, but are they worth it or is it just a waste of money.

Re: Odyssea Metal Halide Lights

I believe several people on the board have those lights. They use to have problems with them catching fire but not anymore.Something to do with the old ballast.Still,I've read on other boards that the ballast aren't very good and the bulbs are terrible.IMO,I would paid extra for a better quality fixture. The Current,Coralife and Aquamedic makes better entry level metal halide systems.

Re: Odyssea Metal Halide Lights

Odyssea is a brand that most people avoid because, like Freak said, of their track record of bursting into flames. Buy at your own risk.
