Does anyone know if there is a skimmer that can be changed from HOB to In sump?

Re: skimmers
The Coralife Super Skimmer is the only one that comes to mind.

Re: skimmers
TurboFlotor has what they call a Multi which is convertable. It is expensive though, and like its other skimmers it is made of cheap extruded plastic. They work excellently, but they are made of thin easily breakable plastic. I own 14 Turboflotor 1000's and 12 of them have collection cups with one or more cracks. Luckily only one ever got a crack in the main body from being dropped 5 feet onto a concrete floor slab. If they were made out of cell cast plastic there probably would be no cracks at all, even on the dropped skimmer that had to be replaced. The Coralife Super Skimmer is also made of extruded plastic.

The Coralife works nearly as well as the Turboflotor and is a lot cheaper. Doesn't look as nice and has a pump that is not as good, but for your money the Coralife would be a better deal. They are both made of cheap extruded acrylic plastic rather than cell cast so they will not take absue without cracking, so be careful that you do not hit them with elbows or other hard objects. ![]() Current Aquarium(s) Description: 120g SPS Mother Colony Tank, 40 g sump, back wall overflows, 2 closed loop circulation circuits 59X Experience in Saltwater & Reef Aquarium Hobby: 35 years in marine aquarium trade and managing LFS's, 10 years with coral.
