I installed a ATO on my tank. I use a 5 gallon salt bucket for my resevoir. My problem is that I noticed that when I replace it with a new full bucket of water that my water leval in the sump goes up quite a bit. It keeps filling way past the sensors. At first I thought it was because the pump was above the water line so I placed the pump on the floor and still same problem. Anybody have any idea why it's not stopping once it reaches the sensors?

Re: Ato

Make sure that the tip of the ATO hose going into your sump is not submerged because it can cause a siphon. If you need to you can zip tie it somewhere where the opening of the hose is 3-6 inches away from the level your sensors and water. Hope that helps

Re: Ato

If your ATO filler tube is submerged it is going to siphon until the water level in your sump and the container are the same level relative to each other.
