Blueline electronic Ballast heat
Hello,
I am setting up the AquaMedic light with 3 electronic ballasts. Any suggestions on how to mount the ballasts? Do I need to be concerned with airflow and how hot they get? Current Aquarium(s) Description: 180gallon, new setup Experience in Saltwater & Reef Aquarium Hobby: 30yrs |

Re: Blueline electronic Ballast heat
electronic ballast do not get hot like the magnetics do. you should mount the ballast away from the water or water splash and provide for some air around the ballast for cooling. now having said that, i would recommend you check with the supplier and see what their take on it is so that you do not create a warranty issue. instructions should have come with the unit but if not contact the supplier. hope this helps.
