Sump

Not sure if this is the right section but I have a question. Today I shut down my tank to try and fix micro bubbles from entering the main tank. I have no idea why I have micro bubbles never did before. Any way I cleaned the skimmers pad. Turned the tank back on. When I did I have more water in the sump then I did before I turned it off. I not talking a little bit. It's about a gallon or so. So my tank won't need topped off for at least a day or more. Can someone explain why there's more water?

Re: Sump

Did you slow your return pump down? Or did you lower the hight of the water in the skimmer. Mine has a gate vavle that adjusts the hight of the water.

Re: Sump

Didn't touch pump. All I did was only cleaned skimmer.
