Stupid fuge.

Recently I got my old in-tank refugium and stuck it on the outside.Everything was going great until I had to install the pumps.I have two of the same pumps, but in the refugium there is either too much water flowing in or too less and last night I kept trying to adjust it,but nothing.IM so ,I got everthing set up in there, lights, plants, rock, mud. Does anybody got anyideas on how to figure something out?
