UV Sterilizer

I have a 150 gallon tank. I have a turbo twist 3x sterilizer. The specs say that it is for up to 125 gallon tanks. Do you think it is ok for my 150? Also, it says to have a 100-200gph pump to run it. I, for some reason was set up with a Rio90 that only does 85gph.

Help and advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
David

Re: UV Sterilizer

Seems like I remember reading somewhere that a slower flow was better for effective UV use.So I think if anything,it would probably do its job better with the smaller pump.

Re: UV Sterilizer

I agree, UVs work better when the water has more time to pass through them, so I don't think a smaller pump will be a problem.
