Running Lights

I have a nano and I was wondering how long I should be running my lights. I have read that it should be for 12 hours and I have also read 6 hours. So I don't know what I should be doing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Running Lights

It depends on what you have in the tank. For most corals, 8 to 12 hours is just fine. If you only have fish, then you can shorten it, as the more light you have, the more fuel for algae.
