Nova Extreme 4 x 54W

Just picked up a used Nova Extreme 48" 4X54W
It has four plugs:
1 for a pair of bulbs
1 for the other pair of bulbs
1 for the moonlights
and one for the fan.

When the fan is plugged in it runs constantly, regardless of whether or not the bulbs are turned on.

Is this normal?

Re: Nova Extreme 4 x 54W

Yote

Thanks for the feedback.
Does your 8 x 54W have 4 plugs also (2 120V and 2 Transformers)?

According to the owners manual downloaded from the website, the fan "will run automatically with one pair of lights."

Seems to me that the transformer should power the fan, but that the fan should only "switch" on when the light is turned on.

Does anyone have this model?
