Enough light?

I've been looking to trying some SPS corals, but i'm not sure I got enough light. I,m running Corallife 192 watt 36 inch 10000k with actinic on a 30 gal. Tank is 36 x 12 x 16 deep. Has about a 3" dsb approx. 15lbs of live rock ( still adding LR) Any and all suggestions appreciated.

Re: Enough light?

How many gallons of water do you acturally have. since your tank is not very deep you may be able to get away with what you have. if you are using a top glass keep it clean. I would try what you have before changing or adding any more. good luck keep us posted.

Re: Enough light?

If you are going to try SPS in the tank I would try to place them high in the tank. SPS love light and do better imho with 10+ wpg (this is a rule of thumb not a measure).
