Brute Container
For those of you who are using a Brute container for water changes, make sure you clean it frequently with vinager and water (which I haven't been doing up until now). Yesterday when I was getting ready for a water change, as I was putting my R.O water into the Brute container I checked the TDS while the water was in the container, it read 45ppm (which is high) than I checked the TDS of my water directly from the R.O unit and it read 7ppm. I was stumped. Than I cleaned out my Brute container with vinager and water and than checked the TDS again and it read the same.
Just a heads up for those using a Brute container for water changes. ![]() Current Aquarium(s) Description: 55 gallon/20 gallon sump/Aquactinics TX5/LPS/SPS Experience in Saltwater & Reef Aquarium Hobby: 3 years Other Intrests: My truck, wakeboarding, and golf. I also enjoy working.... |

Re: Brute Container
Im sure that would go for any container. Residue from previous water changes could stick to the sides of the container.
