CustomSeaLife DOUBLE HELIX UV STERILIZER 18W
I am looking to buy my first UV sterilizer and have a few questions. Does
anyone have experience with this unit? I know that a UV unit isn't the answer to ICK and I am more concerned with maintaining good water quality and keeping algae down to a minimum. Does a UV unit kill of the "good" bacteria in the system too? Thanks for your comments |

Re: CustomSeaLife DOUBLE HELIX UV STERILIZER 18W
If it is a FO (fish only) tank, it would prove useful. If you plan more than FO,
then a UV isn't the way to go, because it kills off the good infauna you want to keep, including planktonic-sized critters.
