I alway check for their return policy of anything I buy from LFS to Online
computer and other stuff ... for anything. I kept hearing people complain
about buying from someplace (especially online website) and can not return
it.

Re: Horseshoe Crabs

Did the LFS really say that the crab was 100% reef safe and DSB safe or did
you just see a cool creature and only heard what you wanted to hear? I have
had customers come in my store time and time again and just buy whatever
tripped their trigger regardless of whether it was good for them or not.

Don't totally blame the LFS unless you asked the right questions.

Re: Horseshoe Crabs

I asked if it was reef-safe. The answer was yes, very.

At that time I thought that reef-safe and DSB safe were the same thing.

they are not very reef safe regardless of them consuming your DSB, they eventually will
become a pita in any tank with rocks, fish, corals

Re: Horseshoe Crabs

in modern day terms "reef safe" is perceived to be something that doesn't
eat corals. while this is a very vague guideline IMO of what reef safe is,
the LFS didn't tell him a lie, they are reef safe, but they do cause havoc
in the tank by digging all in the sand, eating everything in the DSB and
knocking everything in the world around when they do that crazy upside down
swimming that looks like a drunk trying to ride a bicycle.
