Re: New tank
Thats a pretty sweet deal with the lighting. The only thing I can say that I would change is maybe grab some individual reflectors for the T5s and keep them out from underneath the halides. Good deal cant wait for the build!

Typically I do not recommend return bulkheads be cut in the side walls of display tanks as most people view their tanks from three sides. I usually recommend a seperate return bulkhead for every 600 to 800 gph returned by closed loop and always at least two bulkheads for a return from a sump/refugium pump. I usually recommend all returns be in the back walls on most display tanks. With returns from the refugium sump being as near the top as possible and with the others being along the top and at about mid depth. Manifold pipes running behind the plastic trim on the sides also are OK with the feed lines either running over the back wall or being run through back wall bulk heads. ![]() Current Aquarium(s) Description: 120g SPS Mother Colony Tank, 40 g sump, back wall overflows, 2 closed loop circulation circuits 59X Experience in Saltwater & Reef Aquarium Hobby: 35 years in marine aquarium trade and managing LFS's, 10 years with coral. Re: New tank
So due to budgeting issues with the rents I will not be getting the tank. Which I believe is good because now im going to be saving up for a tank for my to purchase. I was going to get some money from my mom for this tank and then after selling my paintball stuff that I dont need pay her back but I would rather do it on my own.
So you can delete this thread because it will be a while before I get a tank. Sorry guys. Current Aquarium(s) Description: 24 Gallon Nanocube. Experience in Saltwater & Reef Aquarium Hobby: Couple months Other Intrests: Paintball |
