Re: buying a new skimmer

Check out the MSX200, its a nice skimmer and runs around $300, it should stomp on other skimmers in that price range.

Re: buying a new skimmer

Of the two choices you posted, I'd go with Octopus. I love mine.

Re: buying a new skimmer

The Octopus 200 is a fairly decent skimmer and runs around $200, if you google octopus skimmer you should be able to find more than a few places. But I would spend the extra $100 and get the MSX-200, which I think is a better skimmer and will pull out more on your tank.

Re: buying a new skimmer

thanks for the opinions, i checked out the octopus model 200, the marine solutions msx 200 and the aqua c ev120

unfortunantly i may have to go with the aqua c because it is only 18" tall

the msx is 23" tall and wont fit under my stand, same with the octopus, i guess i should have checked the height of the units prior to polling

i hope the aqua c will be ok

Re: buying a new skimmer

How tall is your stand? The octopus is an in sump if Im not mistaken so if you measure from bottom of sump should have room.
