Re: GFI Question

Ground Fault Indicator its the type of electrical outlet that is required by code in bathrooms and within 4 feet of kitchen sink. It basically shuts itself of by a breaker in the socket if the electrical cicuit isnt completed.

Tcaroll are you sure its a GFI and not an arc fault?

Re: GFI Question

Sounds more like an arc fault outlet.

Re: GFI Question

go to dome deopt or lowes and get a leveton comercial grade GFI. is it the only GFI in that run of wire. i am saying this because if there are two of them it can cause problems with each other and make them trip.
