bought a montipora today it would be of the foliaceous variety its a frag so i will give it a shot, actually i think its three frags glued to 1 plug, green, pink and a reddish color very cool looking about an inch and a half across

i lied its more purple in the back, red on the right and green on the left, the colors didnt come out as great as they could have, oh and its sitting on new live rock i put in, cured but painfully white

I have one SPS. I got it as a frag when I first started out, over a year ago. It was the size of a pencil and about 1.5" long when I got it. I wedged it down into a crack and left it alone.
It hasn't grown up or out. All it's done is grow out and spread across the rock. It's only grown a TINY bit. Today it is about the size of a silver dollar. Frankly, I'm not impressed. Most SPS just look like tree branches. Sure, they have different colors, but they all look like sticks IMO. The one I have is supposed to be neon green. The bony skeleton is neon green, but the polyps are an ugly poop brown. Whoopee!! I can get a million poop brown frags in this hobby. Not an SPS fan.

It's just nice to have a variety. I really like the LPS (my Duncans look great), but my green stylo looks pretty cool. The only ones I'm not into are the leathers.
