I'm back......again

Well I have been in the saint louis hospital for the last 3 days. My son had pyloric stinosis and had to have surgery. Everything turned out great and he's keeping food down now. Well just letting everyone know I'm back again.

What is pyloric stinosis? Dr. Rigo? Good to hear he's doing okay and good to see you back again!

Re: I'm back......again

the stomach has 2 esfinters, well one really belongs to the esofagus, called the cardia, prevents food from getting back to the esofagus, responsable of heartburns when is not working properly, and the pyloro, that helps food get into the duodenum and prevents food from getting back to the stomach...( esfinters are like muscle that open and closes) like the one that prevents us from peeing our pants...a very common problem in newborns when malfunction in embryology development the pyloro does not open adecuatly, or is completly closed etc...its a very easy procedure to get it back in function...
sorry my english...is good to hear that hes doing good boby i wish you the best..not solyd food for a while..when feeding keep him in sitted like position..dont forget to take out the gases..burp..monitor his temp everyday...and check his abdomen too every day..any sign of distension or fever..back to hosp...

Part of the stomach closes up, so food can't get through. This results in lots of puking.
