not a bad price for a tank that size, considering the price of acrylic! and that tank was made with 1 1/4" acrylic. i'm sure that tank was over 10 grand new.
i had the bright idea of building a cylinder shape aquarium until i priced the acrylic. i was thinking of using a 3 feet by 3 feet tube and putting a bottom in it. i called a couple plastic places and looked online, the price for 9inch acrylic tubes are 175.00 per foot! can you imagine what a 36" piece would cost? needless to say i changed my mind.

I know acrylic is high. If I had the time for a tank like that, I would have atleast 1 of ever fish or some big sharks.

a tank that big would rust out your house, unless you have some way of getting rid of moisture and trust me a dehumidifer wouldn't work you would rust anything metal or wires. I had a buddy who put 240 gallon in basement and started rusting all pipes and anything metal.
