Finally got my clam!!

Too bad it died on the way home. Well I just got back form visiting family up north 300 miles away in chicago. While I was there I found a beuatiful 4+ inch maxima clam, that was only 24.99 so I bought it thinking it could make the 6 hour drive no problem, but I guess I was wrong.
I got home and acclimated him, then the next morning I woke up to the hermits in the shell eating away. I'm not sure what killed him, but the next morning I discovered that I had the heater unpluged the whole time I was gone. I forgot to plug it back in after the water change, so that might have done it I dont know for sure, but it was at 74 in the morning. All well back to it I guess. I'm still pretty pissed though, because this is one of the main reasons I went halide.:gr umble::grumble :

Re: Finally got my clam!!

Sorry to hear about your bad luck Bobby. But as they say, there are more clams in the sea. I hope you can find a nice looking one for as good a price.

Hahahaha! Speaking of, guess who decided to renew his wedding vows yesterday. I saw the pics. They were hilarious.
