Re: Hand Guns

I was just researching gun legislation and laws in WI, and wow we are on the retarded minority. 43 states have conceal and carry laws. Wisconsin is not one of them, doyle rejected the legislation with out even having a vote of any kind! I can't find anything online about good news for gun owners in WI. I cant even find if its legal to carry a loaded pistol under my seat or not... So in general Doyle is the biggest pile of shit on earth... All I can find about gun laws in wisconsin is how doyle is trying to take all gun other than single shot rifles and shotguns from wisconsin residents...

Re: Hand Guns

If they are anything like the 9mm you wont be disappointed. Before the break in period the springs on the mag and slides are super tight but they break in real nice. They are super acurate out of the box.

RUN dont walk and join the NRA immediately and tell everyone you know that owns a firearm or hunts to do the same. AN UNARMED MAN IS A SUBJECT NOT A CITIZEN.

Re: Hand Guns

Cory,In that case,I wouldnt risk it.The last thing you wont is a felony arrest for a concealled weapon. That would end your rights to own anything other than black powder guns.
Thats also why I like living down south. It'll cost a resident 100 bucks or so to get a permit in the state of Tennessee. The state of Georgia say I can carry my gun loaded,as long as its in plain view.

Ryan,
I'll sure be looking at the Kahrs.

And time for my old ass to be in the bed.
Night yall.

Re: Hand Guns

Wisconsin is one of two remaining states where concealed carry by ordinary citizens is still illegal. Open-carry is legal except where prohibited by law (government buildings, schools, and places that sell liquor), but, in the words of one Wisconsin resident, "you will attract the attention of every police officer in the area."[92] Some jurisdictions have tried to prosecute open-carry by equating the open carry of handguns with Disorderly Conduct. Inside vehicles, the firearm must be both unloaded and encased; having a loaded firearm on the front seat was held to be concealed and therefore illegal in a 1994 case. Bills to enact shall-issue were twice vetoed by Governor Jim Doyle in January 2004 and again in January 2005 after passing in both houses of the Wisconsin legislature. In 2005, the Assembly fell two votes short of overriding Doyle's veto.
Other laws: Possession of a firearm while intoxicated, shooting within 100 yards of a home without permission, pointing a weapon at anyone except in self-defense, and negligent handling of a weapon are all outlawed. Statute 941.20
Carrying a concealed weapon is a class A misdemeanor, state statute 941.23. This is any "weapon", not just firearms. Knives are legally defined as "dangerous weapons".
Going armed in any building owned/leased by the government is a class A misdemeanor, state statute 941.235.
Carrying a handgun where alcohol is sold/consumed is generally a class A misdemeanor, state statute 941.237.
Armor-piercing ammunition prohibited in handguns when committing a crime. Statute 941.296.
"No person may carry or display a facsimile firearm in a manner that could reasonably be expected to alarm, intimidate, threaten or terrify another person", unless on your own property or business, or that of another person with their consent. Statute 941.2965.
Wisconsin has a state pre-emption law that generally forbids cities from passing firearms ordinances more strict than that of state law. Statute 66.0409. This doesn't affect zoning regulations, which is why only one Madison gun shop sold handguns. That shop, along with others as well as the only gun club in Middleton, have closed.
Committing a crime while possessing a dangerous weapon is a penalty enhancer. Statute 939.63.

I've gotta get out of this state...

Re: Hand Guns

After reading it sounds like you can carry a gun in plain view, but sitting on the dash or seat isnt plain view... so do I have to make a mounting bracket and have it suspended above the roof of my car or what? I think I'm just going to get it anyway and keep it unloaded and cased until I get the hell out of this worthless liberal state.

Re: Hand Guns

Cory be very careful remember that a handgun related offense is usually a felony you lose all rights to vote and own any firearms. Cars are not a safe place to store firearms.
