you're self employed and business is very slow. Sometimes i miss getting my paychecks on time, but hated having a boss.

I hate to say it man but I know a lot of contractors in the building trade and when they were starting out most of them had part/full time jobs to supplement until things were doing well.

Re: it really sucks when...

Well im surviving. it goes more like in phases. One month we're flooded with work and some months nothing...its just how it goes.

But i would rather starve and crawl in a hole then to have another boss again. My last job really turned me off from working for another company ever again. So i decided to go my own way. Big risk i know but people tell me since i quit my job a few years ago, i look healthier & happier. Man i hated my last job.

Did you ever have the kind of job that just drained the life out of you?

i was looking into getting into the whole website development thing at one point, i've always liked looking at a good flash site. I want Dreamweaver so bad to make my own sites but $400 is a lot of green for a program.

Re: it really sucks when...

Man this is my kinda thread!!!! BITCHING about work!!!! My job has sent me to the shrink!!!! I literally can't turn my brain off and enjoy shit! C- I feel ya, and am close to starting up my own business- like within the year.
The one thing that gets me is, think of how hard you worked for SOMEONE ELSE- and it sounds like we are a lot alike- now why wouldn't you do it for yourself?!?!?!
That and you're never gonna get RICH on someone else's tax ID #!!! Hang in there and I'll be coming at you for a quote soon!

I dont trust any of that stuff anymore to many virus's and spyware nowdays. I use to have the old version of dreamweaver but lost it when i had to reformat my old PC. I use to have the program and keygen on a cd but it's long gone im sure. I do have photoshop CS2 and wont say where i got that awesome program!!
