Re: Camera prices in Alaska

I'd definately support local business especially when there is only a $10 difference.

Glad you had a good experience.

Good luck,
Bubba

Fatman you should be able to right it off as a business expense too. Make a portfolio your tanks so that you can show it to prospective customers.

I already have that, but more photos for insurance purposes will not hurt. At this time the insurance comapny will only insure the tank system and not they contents. They want photos and three estimates for relacement values on yhe contents to provide coverage. No additional cost though up to $25,000 total. They presently cover the system for $11,000. The corals are worth at least $20,000. But they have no allowances for that kind of coverage because it is a policy set up under renters insurance. Thats $28 a month versus commercial coverage of $75,000 for $105 per month.

Current Aquarium(s) Description: 120g SPS Mother Colony Tank, 40 g sump, back wall overflows, 2 closed loop circulation circuits 59X
Experience in Saltwater & Reef Aquarium Hobby: 35 years in marine aquarium trade and managing LFS's, 10 years with coral.
Other Intrests: Coral Propagation, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Cabinetry, and Reef Systems Development

I try to support individual locally owned non chain stores when ever I can, unless price differences are huge. However, I will not pay double on an item in the hundreds of dollars just so a local can retire early to Arizona or Florida.

Re: Camera prices in Alaska

I do not support Reeftopia. Guru stores are not my thing.
