Re: Liveaquaria horror story!

That sucks though. Not only for this fish, but any animal that is shipped from any company. I think it's safe to say that there was negligence on the part of the company for not packaging the fish properly (there's no way the water should have gotten that hot if it was packaged properly), but also the buyer for buying such a delicate animal in the middle of the hot summer. I can only imagine how many poor fish this happens to every day (I ordered fish from www.saltwaterfish.com once, and all 3 fish that I ordered arrived dead. And this was in the early Arizona spring when it's in the 70's! Absolutely no excuse for them to not be properly shipped in such mild, accommodating weather).

I'm sure glad things worked out for him.

I'm not so sure if they were negligent.Do you put ice packs and risk freezing the fish or put nothing? It's hard to tell during the summer.

Re: Liveaquaria horror story!

If you read the entire thread and how Foster Smith (liveaquaria.com) responded you can assume that liveaquaria.com has the best service bar none. The fish vanished in his tank and they still refunded him the huge price!

Re: Liveaquaria horror story!

Hey Biff will you take the horror out of the title of this thread for me? Just call it a Liveaquaria Story? I think that it is more fitting.
