Re: piercings

When I was in high school, I had my ears done. I had 7 in one ear and 8 in the other. But they were constantly getting infected, so I took them out and haven't had anything in my ears in around 7 years.

I also used to have my bellybutton done in four places, like a +. Then one got ripped out in a swimming pool, so I took those out and have never gotten any again.

So right now (and in the future) none.

NDB has both nipples done. I hated it at first, but got used to them eventually (he's had them for about 8 years now). I saw a guy get his nipple ring ripped out in a pool once too. Seeing that has scarred me for life. I get chills just thinking about it.

Re: piercings

Back in the 80's I had my left ear done. It was the "cool" thing at the time. My kids think it's funny that I can still get one of my daughter's ear rings in, although with a little bleeding. A few years back my wife got me a new silver cross earing ... just didn't fit the part any more. Now I watch kids with spikes in just about anywhere and wonder if they had their shots so they won't get infected. It's funny how our viewpoints change as we get older.

Oh, and Biffer, there was a guy at a Nascar race in Talladega who had his nipples pierced. He hung his sunglasses off them. I just sat and wondered if they ever got caught on anything .

Re: piercings

When I first got out of the service I had 2 12 gauges in each ear. Just was looking for that woohoo I dont have to look like everyone else stage. Due to work they are now closed up which doesnt hurt my feelings because if I still had them Id look like everyone else anyway.

Biff the whole nipple piercing thing is pretty popular with military people. Its an outlet for self expression that can be easily hidden under a uniform. I was gonna do em both but chickened out at last second. I remember being drunk and doing a guys with a safety pin, ice cube and a cork from a bottle of wine. OUCH!

Yeah, apparently so. In all his old pictures, a lot of his military buddies have them both done too.

Re: piercings

I would say that at least a third of my last unit had them done. Probably 75 people in the company. Hell even my drill sergeants in basic training had them

Re: piercings

He got them as a gift for his ex-wife. She wanted them (on him)
