hey salty how is tx5 doing, finally found right bulb configuration for mine and this freakin light can make anything color up nicely i have same corals under halides in another tank that are not even same color anymore.

Hey buddy, the TX5 rocks!! but my bulb config. sucks!! the corals have decent color but I am not impressed. Here is what i am using:

ATI aquablue
ATI blue plus
GE 65000
ATI blue plus
ATI aquablue

I am thinking it is the 6500k that I hated, but I was told it was best to have for growth. Withing the next 3 months I plan on going with (3) 10k and (2)actinics. Keep it simple and I hope it will look good. but I am confident that it will give me the looks that I want. A pure white with a blue hue.

What are you using?

tried a 6500 in middle and didn't like it so switched back
started with 3 aquablue and 2 blue plus

but right now i have had a few bleached corals i got cheap color back up quick, even a rose bubble tip that i got for a couple bucks was white and is red again. getting awesome growth out of zoos and palys also looks like a 14k color to the tank.

yeah, thats another thing. My purple coraline is bleaching with my current combo.
