I sorta knew all of this... I think that hydrogen is the way to go. How come all the rich-hippie-liberals(and some conservatives)complain about we are shorting the earths oil and commiting global waring, While they have escalades and jet planes which use a lot of oil/gas/pet/whatever u wanna call it.They are hipacrites. And if somebody says that they cant do anything , they can help by buying hondas new hydragen car ($?) and buy a hydragen maker (100$-600$ depending on how much it needs).

I don't know any environmentalists that have Escalades or jet planes. And I know a lot of them, since I am a professional environmental scientist, and a PhD student in environmental science. I work and go to school with dozens of environmentalists. The ones that own cars seem to drive fuel efficient vehicles. None that I can think of drive SUVs. Most of them don't even own cars, and instead ride bikes.

How many environmental scientists do you know Hibye?

i think he might mean politicians who vote on the environmentalist side of bills, and they have their massive convoys of cars and there private jets

Oh. In that case... I think it would be a national security issue to have senators flying on airlines with hundreds of other people. Is there really an alternative to them having their own jets? I mean, it'd be nice if there was.

The biggest hypocrite of all is not even a democrat, hippy or liberal. He's a republican. The governor of California, that refuses to move to the state capitol where his office is located. So instead he flies his private jet across California to work and back EVERY SINGLE DAY. He also claims to be an environmentalist, but owns several Hummers.

but he talked about the hummer issue on leno one night and said most of them have been converted to run on alternative fuels, and he has done some good for that state with the alternative fuels like the hydrogen highway

The fact that it probably will not get any better any time soon is the most upsetting part to me. I think we are still in for a major devastation...U.S. dollar dropping so much is just shocking.

the dollar has gone up in the past few weeks, with oil dropping, keep in mind that the dollar and oil trade are futures not common stock, they are traded on what people think will happen in the future so it takes time for the prices to take effect. also what i dont get is all these new energy efficient cars will take forever to hit the production line, like the hydrogen cars from honda wont go into production until 2010 plus you have to wait for hydrogen stations to get made and installed before those cars will even matter
